Magnetic Hoop and Frame
Magnetic Hoop & Frame System
Choose your hoop size, then choose the correct arm size for your machine.
Make hooping faster, cleaner, and more consistent: especially on thick, slippery, or awkward garments. The magnetic clamping action gives even tension with far less effort, so you get crisp embroidery with less re-hooping and zero hoop burn.
How it works
-
Step 1 – Pick your hoop size: Select the sewing field that suits your jobs (small logos → compact hoops; hoodies/jackets → larger hoops).
-
Step 2 – Pick your arm size: This is the machine-mount spacing so the frame fits your model.
Arm size → machine fit
-
355 mm — Ricoma Multi-head
-
395 mm — Ricoma 1-Head, SWF UH
-
495 mm — SWF UK, SWF T-Series, SWF Compact
Not sure? Measure your machine’s arm spacing or tell us your exact model, we’ll confirm the right option.
What’s included
-
1 × Magnetic embroidery frame (your chosen hoop size)
-
2 × Arms (your chosen arm size) to mount the frame to your machine
Why embroiderers switch to magnetic hoops
-
Faster setup: Hoop in seconds; big time-saver on volume runs.
-
Even tension: Cleaner outlines, fewer thread breaks.
-
Gentle on garments: No pressure marks/hoop burn on sensitive fabrics.
-
Great on bulky items: Hoodies, coats, workwear, quilted jackets, bags.
-
Less strain: Minimal force needed compared to standard clamp/rail hoops.
Choosing your hoop size (quick guide)
-
Small – left-chest logos, caps (flat), sleeves, childrenswear.
-
Medium – standard left/right chest, polos, sweatshirts.
-
Large/XL – hoodies, jackets, appliqué, larger back designs.
(Select your exact size from the dropdown. Sizes are quoted by approximate internal sewing area.)
Compatibility & notes
-
Designed for the listed Ricoma and SWF models/series (see arm size table).
-
Use with appropriate stabiliser/backing for fabric and design density.
-
Powerful magnets—keep clear of credit cards, pacemakers, and sensitive electronics.
-
Avoid snapping the magnets together; bring pieces together slowly to protect surfaces.
Troubleshooting & support
If the hoop doesn’t seat square, double-check the arm size matches your machine series and that both arms are fitted in the same orientation. Still stuck? Call our team—we’ll get you sorted quickly.
